This is an interesting sterling silver tankard made by Tiffany & Co. This tankard has three-dimensional figures of a pair of tennis rackets held together by a series of ribbons. A hammered texture makes up the exterior shell of the piece. An inscription reads on the bottom "1st handicap New York Racquet Court Club won by E Leavitt Jr 1879." A tennis ball sits on the top and acts as a knob. No monogram or signs of mono-removal are present. Normal surface scratches do exist. The height of the tankard is 7 inches with a weight of 20.05 troy ounces.
